Professional Identity
SkinEthos Clinic is founded and led by Charles Ng ND, a naturopath, integrative skin health practitioner and IPHM certified Executive Practitioner. He is not a medical doctor, does not practise Western medicine and is not registered as a medical practitioner in Singapore or any other jurisdiction. All services and content provided under SkinEthos are delivered strictly within the professional scope of naturopathy, non medical aesthetic practice and integrative skin health.
Definition of Naturopathic Practice
Naturopathy is a non medical, complementary wellness discipline that focuses on supporting the body’s natural balance and overall wellbeing through lifestyle guidance, botanical knowledge, nutrition, topical applications and non invasive methods.
Naturopaths do not diagnose medical diseases, prescribe pharmaceutical drugs, perform surgery or replace the role of licensed medical practitioners.
Within the broader naturopathic field, areas of practice may include general wellness support, nutrition, lifestyle coaching, botanical care, preventive health education and non medical skin and body care. Charles Ng has elected to focus his professional work specifically on integrative natural skin health and non invasive skin quality management.
Scope of Integrative Skin Health Practice
Integrative skin health and skincare, as practised at SkinEthos Clinic, refers to a non medical, preventive and restorative approach that considers skin condition in relation to lifestyle, environment, ageing and overall wellbeing.
This approach may include:
Non invasive skin treatments and topical skincare
Plant based and cosmetic formulation development
Skin health education and preventive care guidance
Aesthetic and wellness technologies used within non medical limits
Lifestyle and general wellbeing recommendations related to skin quality
All services are cosmetic, wellness based and supportive in nature. They are not medical or dermatological treatment and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any disease or medical condition.
